Our ISEB Data Protection and Freedom of Information courses

Our ISEB Certificate in Data Protection and Certificate in Freedom of Information courses are delivered by practising lawyers over a period of five consecutive days. Our courses equip you with the knowledge to take the ISEB exam with confidence. The Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification which acts as the benchmark for competence, ability and performance, and covers the 'softer' skills as well as technical competences required for compliance with the two Acts and associated legislation.

These are intensive courses ('intermediate level') and most suited to those people with some background, practical knowledge of data protection and / or freedom of information, but particularly:

• Information Governance (DP / FOI) officers/managers
• Heads of Information management
• Records Managers
• Human Resource managers
• IT/IS managers
• Marketing / Database managers

There are two options available for attendance on our courses:

Courses at our offices in Cardiff and Reading
You can attend one of our scheduled courses, which take place over five consecutive days at one of our offices. Naturally, each course covers the entire ISEB syllabus through the week. Although it is an intensive course, there are plenty of ways in which our lawyers make sure the delegates enjoy themselves with case studies and lively discussions. Courses at your offices (or local to you)
If there are a number of people from your organisation, or from a group of related organisations in your area, who wish to work towards the ISEB Certificate, we can deliver the course at your offices or a suitable local venue, according to a timetable that suits you (e.g. one day a week for five weeks or any other combination). Please note that ISEB requires that there must be at least six delegates and no more than 16 attending each course. We would need to seek ISEB's permission to run an external course.

Costs
To discover how we charge for our courses (whether publicly scheduled or arranged on your premises) please use our simple contact form. Prices start from just £1,250 plus VAT for those in the public sector, charities or voluntary organisations.

Examinations
Examinations are scheduled by ISEB on a quarterly basis and can be arranged anywhere in the UK where at least two candidates can be booked and the facilities meet the requirements set out by ISEB. Each examination currently costs £160 plus VAT in addition to the course fee.
